Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Internal Conflict Discord app (“the bot”), the official community app for the game Internal Conflict, operated by HappyDale Holding LLC. By adding the bot to a server or using its commands, you agree to these terms.

1. What the bot does

The app provides community features: member leveling, an in-server currency and mini-games (including the firing range), IC account and game activity links, community mini-games, self-serve roles, member verification, moderation tooling, custom commands, and server logging. Features are configured by each server’s administrators.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the bot to break Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or any applicable law;
• abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the bot or the server it runs on;
• exploit bugs (for example, to duplicate currency) instead of reporting them; or
• use the moderation or messaging features to harass others.

The operator may remove the bot from, or restrict its features in, any server that violates these terms.

3. Virtual items

In-server currency (“scrap”), XP, levels, and war progress are virtual items with no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, or exchanged for real money, and may be reset, adjusted, or lost (for example on a server reset, a season restart, or a data purge). They are provided for entertainment only.

4. Age

You must meet Discord’s own minimum age to use Discord at all, which is 13, or older where your local law requires it. Some features have a higher limit: a giveaway run through the bot is open only to people who meet the age stated in that giveaway’s Official Rules.

5. Giveaways

The bot can run a giveaway for the operator. A giveaway is a sweepstakes: no purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win, and nothing you buy improves your chances. Each giveaway is governed by its own official rules, which say who may enter, how, by when, what the prize is, and how the winner is drawn and notified. Entries are recorded on the Internal Conflict website, not in the bot. The current rules are the wall mount giveaway Official Rules, and where they and these terms disagree about a giveaway, the rules win. A giveaway run here is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with Discord Inc.

6. Availability and changes

The bot is provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice. Features may be added or removed. Nothing here guarantees uptime or preservation of any data or virtual items.

7. No warranty

The bot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or virtual items, arising from use of or inability to use the bot.

9. Privacy

Use of the bot is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data the bot stores and how to have it deleted.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the effective date above is updated and the current version is kept at this URL, which is linked from the bot’s Discord App Directory listing.
