Happydale / Terms
Last updated 2026-07-27
Short version: use the site in good faith, do not attack it or steal the work, and understand that experimental things here are provided as they are. The full version follows, in plain language.
This site (happydale.net and its subpages) is operated by HappyDale Holding LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Happydale is a creative technology studio. The site hosts our own projects, works in progress, demos, prototypes, and tools for specific clients or collaborators. Much of it is experimental by design and may change, break, or disappear without notice.
Nothing here is an offer of professional advice. Where a page describes work for a client, it describes that engagement and not a promise to anyone else.
Some areas need a sign-in or an access phrase. If you have access:
Private previews and playtest builds are shared in confidence. Do not repost them, mirror them, or circulate the link publicly.
Do not:
The site, its design, code, text, and artwork belong to HappyDale Holding LLC or to the respective owner of each project, and are protected by copyright and other rights. Several projects hosted here are owned by their own creators or held jointly with collaborators, and each keeps its own rights.
You may read, link to, and share the site normally. You may not copy, redistribute, or build on our work, or use our names, logos, or client names, without written permission.
If you send us feedback or an idea, we may use it to improve our work without owing you anything for it. Anything you upload stays yours; you give us only the permission we need to host and display it so the relevant feature works.
The site relies on other companies (hosting, database, email, analytics, payments) and may link to sites we do not control, including Discord, GitHub, and client sites. We are not responsible for what those services do, and their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
Where a project on this site sells something, payment is handled by Stripe. Prices, refund terms, and delivery for a purchase are stated at the point of sale for that project, and those specific terms govern the purchase.
The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any demo will keep working. Back up anything you care about.
To the fullest extent the law allows, HappyDale Holding LLC and the people who work with it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can stop using the site at any time. We can suspend or end access to the site or any gated area at any time, with or without notice, particularly for a breach of these terms. Sections 05, 08, 09, and 11 survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to say so rather than quietly editing this page.
How we handle personal information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
